Professor of Quantum Computer Science. Technical University of Applied Sciences Regensburg, Munich Quantum Valley (R&D Professor), and Senior Research Scientist at Siemens AG, Foundational Technologies, Munich. His interests focus on software and systems engineering for quantum computing and other future compute technologies.

Quantum Computing in Practice: From Resources to Advantages

This lecture contines to expose concepts that underly quantum computing that underpin the development of quantum software, and adresses more unusual modes of computation that do not match well with established software mechanisms and abstractions. We discuss known and potential sources of quantum advantage, and how software mechanisms might be used to tap on these ressources, as well as how software can assist in establishing a much-needed systematic approach to discover and construct new productive use of quantum resources on real-world scenarios.
